Flight Assist Problem

Don't mind the noise, this place almost never experiences decompression. This is where to talk about ships, tactics, settings and loadouts.

Flight Assist Problem

Postby sanctuary1952 » Sun Jul 12, 2015 11:01 am

I'm hitting 'z' to turn off flight assist and all I hear is 'The Voice' telling me... "Flight Assist On"

Can't change the setting for Flight Assist in the right hand side functions menu either

HELP!!!!!

under the flight assist button setting is a mode setting. Is yours set to toggle or hold? (you want toggle).

At least turning off FA on pc doesn't hold the same.inherent risk of accidentally turning on silent running mid battle.

I'd love to remap that shit to another controller button

Yeah, I can definitely see how that would be problematic. If it helps, I've done something similar a few times myself and as you know I'm on PC. Try to hit Z to open the Target panel to find somebody to blow up or select a sub-system, overshoot and realise not only is my ship rapidly heating up, I now have no shields.

"ah, this Conda has 42% health left and my shields are still up, thus is going pretty well. Oh, he's shot by me. Ok, turn off FA and slow down for a flup-turn and.....what...oh feck not silent running again....."

*initiate run the hell away mode*

There has been speculation for months about an XBox compatible HOTAS. It would be a real shame if it didn't happen, but no word from Microsoft yet.
