From Galnet:
'Jaques Station hit the headlines two weeks ago when it was reported that the galaxy's most famous travelling starport had disappeared. Jaques, the starport's owner and operator, had announced plans to jump from Gliese 1269 to Beagle Point. But when contact with the starport was lost, many feared the ambitious enterprise had resulted in disaster.

Fortunately it seems the starport is still intact, even if its whereabouts remain unknown. Several outposts throughout inhabited space have reported receiving messages over the past 24 hours, suggesting that the cyborg and his travelling starport survived the attempted journey to Beagle Point.

Unfortunately, however, the messages are extremely fragmentary, giving no clear indication of where the starport might be. One of the more complete messages reads as follows:

"...witch-space...drive engines... station infrastructure intact but...we are..."

We will continue to bring you up-to-the-minute reports on this issue.
'

THARGOIDS!

Thargoids? Thargoids. Have I mentioned I'm planning a long, deep space exploration trip?

Knowing my luck I'll stumble across Jacques' station...

New update today (so servers off line this morning)

https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthrea ... 3-Incoming

Lots and lots of fixes. Some Mission fixes, so hopefully more of them will work now.

Huge burst lasers added :D

Adjust tracking rates for turreted weapons. Large+ are unchanged, medium are slightly faster, small are a lot faster (I've got turrets on the Python :) )

All shields now regenerate at double rate when in supercruise ( Cool :) )

Plus LOADS more. Have a read if you have the time.

Anybody else tried to use a docking computer since the update?

Seems auto dock and AI docking in stations is broken. You just end up hovering over the right hand side of the pad. You have to switch off the docking computer and tough down manually. AI don't have that option of course, so they are just getting destroyed for loitering. I raised a ticket and have had many posts on it. Seems that it works OK on outposts.

Once you have voted you might like to visit the exit poll:

https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthrea ... nsfer-poll

As I said there, no matter what FD decide in the end, it does show that they do at least listen. :)

I'm hoping that people behave themselves after the result of the poll. It would be nice if Frontier weren't put off holding similar referendums in the future.

I already voted, it's fantastic that FD are doing this. I don't even mind if they keep it instant after this, at least we'll know they listened to the community. Democracy in action!

If anything, my only grumble is not putting this on the launcher.
