Day 4 Effector assembly: p6.jpg This is the print head, fans guide rods carriages belt tensioners and all associated wiring. Quite a big job, but I decided to keep going and do the next stage as well. Integration: p7.jpg This was putting all the bits together and fitting the drive belts and filament...

Day 3 Motor frame: This was a bit more fiddly. Very important to do this in strict order or some parts would be impossible to fit. p4.jpg This consists of the bottom part of the frame and the mounts for the stepper motors that will control the print head. Uprights and limit switches: This next stage...

Day 1: Big heavy box arrives in the post: p1.jpg When I get home I eagerly open the box to find... p2.jpg A whole load of other boxes. I spent that evening going through the boxes seeing what I had and making sure all was OK. I was going to take some pics of all the parts spread out, but it soon bec...

3D printer

I've been wanting to get myself a 3D printer for a while now. No particular reason, just thought it would be fun. Recently I got the chance to buy one for a very good price, so I did. It arrived a few days ago and I have been having fun building it. The down side of course is that it has taken time ...

Welcome back Wes :) Drop in to Colando Po if you get the chance. We are having a bit of a push there at the mo. Also we are starting up a weekly get together again. See Franks posts for details. viewtopic.php?f=10&t=78&start=10

Staying in the hanger for now though. Had enough to buy it but nothing left to equip it.

Re: ARC's Future

I'm not sure about branding it as ARC. We don't want to give off any signals that we are trying to get people to make a serious commitment. I think we can make clear that you don't have to commit to ARC to take part, but I do want to promote the fact that ARC are running it in the hope of attractin...

Re: Colando Po

Colando missions are bordering on exploit. I made 15 mil last night just from ARC missions :)

Got a days holiday today so when the servers are back up I'm off to do some more.
